This is a hexacopter I build for fun. Under each arm is an ultrasonic sensor to later implement a collision avoidance
Frame, assembly and testing
The frame houses all components. It consists of 6 arms, onto which a motor gets mounted. The center has PCB traces built-in into the bottom to solder battery terminals and distribute the power rails. To test the copter a Pc power supply is used, since a mistake using batteries can end badly.
